New American Leadership Academy
A training for those newly elected in 2017-2018 to address the ins and outs of elected governance at the state and local levels. Participants learn about navigating power structures, strategic practices to advance legislative priorities, and how your New American identity shapes your leadership as a legislator.
Power & Policy
Power & Policy, NAL’s annual, national summit, brings together those inside and outside government who are fighting to dismantle systemic barriers oppressing communities of color. The 2018 victories up and down the ballot signal that New American leadership is needed now. Join elected officials, NAL alumni, partners and allies to address pressing reforms, showcase successful legislation, and build solidarity for our work on a more inclusive democracy.
New American Hero Awards
